The aim was to improve facilities for existing residents and provide care and support for more older people in the area.The organisation therefore not only remodelled Ryelands itself, completely re-building the home; it also built a block of 23 one and two bedroom apartments amidst the beautifully landscaped gardens adjacent to the home.
The apartments were built to a high specification, including fully fitted kitchens. Additionally, residents are able to relax and socialise in a comfortable communal lounge where an adjacent kitchen area provides simple catering facilities.
A fully equipped laundry room and a guest suite with shower room complete a mix aimed at older people who want the security, comfort and companionship of a retirement living apartment whilst retaining both their independence and the equity they have built up in owning their own property." Show less
