Each room has a pull alarm ..." Show more "The Sheltered Accommodation comprises of 11 one bed-roomed bungalows in the grounds of the Residential Care Home. Each bungalow has a lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Each room has a pull alarm cord connected to the Residential Care Home to enable bungalow tenants to summon help in an emergency.Tenants of the bungalows are expected to be independent as no care services are provided in the complex although meals can be taken in the Main Home if required for a small charge, when room allows. Alternatively, tenants could order and collect a meal from the Home's kitchen by prior arrangement. Tenants are invited to join in meetings and social events in the Home and to join with others on the mini bus for the weekly trip to Connaught Avenue in Frinton.
Tenants have the assurance of knowing that if the time came when they could not manage in the independent sheltered accommodation, they could transfer to the Residential Care Home when a room was available. In certain instances this is subject to approval by Social Services.
Tenants pay a weekly rent to the Home and are responsible for all outgoing expenses, i.e. Community Charge, Water rates, Electricity, Telephone, Heating (night storage economy seven). The bungalows are unfurnished." Show less
