"Harry Sotnick House is a contemporary, purpose-built care home which was opened in 2011.
Our eye-catching building pays tribute to Portsmouth’s nautical heritage, with sail-like sloping rooftops and porthole windows. The home was named after Harry Sotnick, a city councillor and the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth in 1963.

Every aspect of the home has been thoughtfully designed to meet residents’ needs and to create a feeling of luxury, comfort and warmth. Our reception area has a stunning atrium roof which floods the space with light. The decoration throughout the home is fresh and modern, and all of our furniture and soft furnishings are of the highest quality.

Residents’ rooms are large, light and airy, with comfortable and fully adjustable beds, en-suite shower rooms, stylish furniture, telephone and television connection points and a 24-hour nurse call system. Outside each resident’s room there’s a memory box for photos or other mementoes that help people to recognise their room and remind them of happy memories.

Harry Sotnick House offers all of the facilities you would expect to find in your local village, including a shop, postbox and an internet cafe. There’s also a hairdressing salon, a multi-faith room, a cinema and an activity room, a garden room and a library area. At the heart of the home is an attractive courtyard and we also have lovely landscaped gardens. Both the home and gardens are accessible to people who use wheelchairs." Show less
