It has 35 self-contained flats. Each flat contains either one or two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room.Shared facilities include a restaurant/dining room, hairdressing salon, laundry, bowls area, reading, craft, computer and physiotherapy rooms. Support workers are on site to deliver individual care packages.
Residents will have an assessment of their needs, carried out by Torfaen Social Services. Staff from Hafod Care are based at Ty George Lansbury 24 hours a day and provide additional support to residents who need extra help. This includes help getting out of bed, dressing, bathing, shopping, and doing house work.
Two support workers are also on site to help residents socialise, widen their interests and provide advice on a range of topics including money , benefit claims and domestic help.
