Living at home can become harder as you get older. But choosing to move into supported living accommodation doesn't have to mean losing your independence. In fact, many of our residents tell us it feels like a new beginning.

The residents enjoy independence in their apartments and the freedom to come and go as they please. We are located in a quiet private road, close to the town and shops with a lovely award winning garden and nearby park.We have accommodation for ten residents, six of whom have separate bedrooms and sitting rooms, with the remaining single rooms being of increased size in keeping with current expectations. All apartments are en-suite with walk-in showers and there are many other appropriate adaptations for older users, including a lift. We have a charging area for mobility scooters (or storage for bikes).
Residents enjoy the large, comfortable lounge which is ideal for a game of cards or a jumbo-sized jigsaw, but is also used for entertaining and social events. Our light and airy dining room opens out onto a patio and the landscaped and sheltered level garden. During the summer residents can frequently be seen relaxing in the garden and gazebo.
Two main meals are provided daily by the resident Housekeeper, who also provides food for breakfast, which residents prepare in their own rooms. Food is home cooked and freshly prepared, so it’s not surprising that, for many residents, communal meals are the highlight of the day. This makes a huge difference to people who have previously been living alone when it can be a big effort to bother to cook. Home-made cakes are always on the menu for tea and, when the weather is warm enough, we can eat outside in the lovely garden.
Residents really appreciate having a live in housekeeper and, when she is not available, a community alarm system is available for emergencies, which gives peace of mind to residents, their relations and friends. A deputy and relief housekeepers provide cover when the housekeeper is on a day off or on leave." Show less
