Show more "Located in the medieval town of Ruthin, Abbeyfield House is a retirement home offering sheltered housing for older people. Our home is purpose built with eleven bedrooms to provide sheltered housing in a family home setting. Have the privacy and independence of having your own room, without the worry of maintaining your own home. Each of our rooms have a private en-suite shower room and includes a living space and kitchenette, allowing you to make refreshments for yourself and guests throughout the day. Two of our rooms are slightly larger with separate bedrooms making them perfect for couples who would like to come and live with us.
Our home is in a great location, Abbeyfield Ruthin sits in a semi rural location on the edge of town but has the advantage of being within a short walking distance of the town’s shops and amenities.
Ruthin is a small historic market town in Denbighshire, North Wales overlooking the River Clwyd in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. The town has an impressive 13th century castle which has a long, exciting and interesting history spanning over 700 years including scandal, battle and siege. Today it is the administrative centre of the County of Denbighshire and boasts good transport links to both the North Wales coastal towns and further afield to Cheshire and Shropshire.
Our friendly, dedicated and caring staff, along with our enthusiastic volunteers go the extra mile into ensuring that our residents are well looked after, their needs are met and that the house is run smoothly.
The rooms in the house come unfurnished to allow you decorate it to your own taste, so bring your favourite photos, furniture and trinkets to make it feel like home.
We also have a guest room for when family and friends would like to stay the night for a small fee which includes lunch and dinner, and can be arranged with the House Manager.
While away the hours with a good book in our lovely conservatory, spend time in the garden listening to the sounds of nature, or meet up with other residents in the communal lounge, all ideal places to relax and take it easy.
Our residents love coming together in the dining room to catch up over lunch or dinner. It's the perfect opportunity to find out more about the resident and talk about your day whilst enjoying a delicious home cooked meal.
Abbeyfield House also offers laundry facilities for you to use and has internet access so you can keep in touch with loved ones or browse the web. For added peace of mind we have a 24 hour community alarm, so you and your loved ones don't have to worry." Show less
