Show more "Newfield Lodge is a modern, purpose-built care home close to Castleford town centre.The home has a nearby bus route and train station, with a small parade of shops within walking distance including fish and chip shop which residents regularly enjoy visiting.The home boasts 64 tastefully decorated bedrooms with bespoke furniture and en-suite facilities including a wet room shower.Each bedroom at Newfield Lodge also includes a flat screen TV, DVD player, mini-fridge, access to Freeview ,telephone and Wi-Fi.We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with pictures, trinkets and ornaments.
Newfield Lodge has eight lounges including four quiet lounges for residents to relax and meet with family and friends.Residents can enjoy the company of others over delicious home-made meals prepared by the kitchen staff or various activities including dominoes, baking and book clubs.After discussions with the residents, the home has many plans to incorporate other activities such as a cinema room, pool table and some light gym equipment.
The gardens are also very much part of life at Newfield Lodge.There is a comfortable seating area where residents can enjoy sunny days, and there is also a vegetable patch where residents can get involved in growing various vegetables to be used in the home.
