Living at home can become harder as you get older. But choosing to move into supported living accommodation doesn't have to mean losing your independence. In fact, many of our residents tell us it feels like a new beginning.

Show more "Located in the charming village of Felsted, known for the 16th century Felsted School, surrounded by beautiful countryside, Abbeyfield House is a sheltered house offering independent living in a warm, cosy and friendly atmosphere delivered by a caring Manager and dedicated team of support staff who are available on the site seven days a week. Have the freedom to come and go as you please combined with support from staff and our other lovely residents.Set up in 1969, Abbeyfield House was completely rebuilt just over 20 years ago and had a total refurbishment including adding new rooms in 2017. We now have 14 rooms which all come with en-suite shower rooms, with a lift giving you access to all floors.
Part of Abbeyfield's founding vision was to make excellent connections in the local community. We are proud to have a very good relationship and support from the community, who regularly visit our house, giving our residents more opportunities for socialising with others.
Spend time in our wonderful garden where you can while away the hours in the sunshine or catch up with friends, new and old. Meal times are an important part of the house, so we provide three delicious meals which we enjoy together; the perfect time for talking and getting to know other residents.
Our house is in a great location, we're just a short distance away from the local shop, Post Office, GP surgery, pharmacist and some excellent pubs and restaurants." Show less
