Show more "The Briars is a large, modernised, Victorian house set in interesting and attractive gardens in Sandown, Isle of Wight, with good transport links to the rest of the island. All the bed-sitting rooms are for single occupancy and have en-suite facilities. The home has a team of highly qualified, dedicated carers, and offers a variety of activities. The home is able to provide care for older people with dementia and our extensive redevelopment programme means we can now offer day care.The Briars has a total of 36 bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. Residents may have a telephone in their room at their expense. The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. In addition, we have a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms. The redevelopment programme means that we can now offer a new lounge, dining room and kitchen, as well as day care facilities. We have also improved, redecorated and refurbished several bedrooms and existing communal areas to create a warm and welcoming environment throughout." Show less
