With separate units for the frail elderly, older people with dementia, adults over 50 with chronic mental illness and residents who are terminally ill, the historic setting has been adapted to provide dedicated specialist care delivered to the highest standards. Care for older people is provided in the main part of the house where there are 19 rooms as well as the purpose built Tweed Wing, added in 1997 to complement the original house, which 22 rooms, all with en-suite bathroom facilities.The Laidlaw Suite is a self contained unit for adults over 50 with chronic mental illness and it has nine units along with its own lounge, kitchen and dining facilities.
