Troutbeck is located in Ilkley on the edge of Ilkley Moor. The building originally served as a hydrotherapy spa in the 19th century and became an exclusive hotel in the 1970s (hosting guests such as HRH Prince Charles and Jimi Hendrix).
Troutbeck is a short walk from Ilkley town centre, as well as local bus and train stations, which provide easy access to Leeds, Bradford, Skipton and Otley. The local hopper bus stop is at the end of the driveway, making the shops, library, pharmacy and doctors surgery easily accessible.
The home provides nursing, day care, intermediate care, residential/personal care, palliative care and respite care. The home also caters for individuals with physical disabilities.
The striking Victorian residence provides luxurious accommodation for up to 54 residents. Troutbecks beautiful Victorian features are complemented by contemporary furnishings and modern facilities designed to make life easier and more comfortable for residents.
A purpose-built extension was completed in 2007, creating an additional 16-bed en-suite wing overlooking the grounds. The main dining room and lounge, which features a baby grand piano, both offer stunning views of the Wharfedale Valley. Two additional lounges and a patio area overlook beautiful landscaped gardens and Ilkley Moor.
The second dining room is located above the original hydrotherapy pool and features a striking stained glass ceiling. Informal seating areas throughout the home help to create a social environment, including the fully licensed bar area, where residents often meet for a glass of sherry.
