Show more "The Old Vicarage is a family owned and managed care home. It is in the village of Allithwaite, about 1 ½ miles from Grange-over-Sands on Morecambe Bay.
The Old Vicarage previous belonged to the local parish church, St. Mary’s. In 1984 it was converted into a residential care home for the elderly in the 1980s and was bought by Dr. & Mrs. Siddiqi in 1994. They refurbished it and expanded the property so it can now look after up to 19 people. It is now run by their son, Kamal, who is the business and registered manager.
The Old Vicarage looks after a range of elderly people of various ages, from those who are slightly frail to individuals with dementia with many residents having lived there for years. A decline in health doesn’t mean someone has to leave, we always try to ensure that our residents stay with us as long as we are able to look after them." Show less
