Show more "If you need more support with daily living, Rayner House is the place for you, providing a safe and comfortable home for a maximum of 26 residents at a time. All our rooms are ensuite and have adjustable beds. All furniture is provided but we encourage you to bring small items of furniture and all of your personal possessions to help the room feel like home.Every resident has a detailed assessment so we know exactly what you need us to help you with. Each person then has their own allocated keyworker who can help with any specific needs you have. It may be help to sort your room out, ensuring you haven’t run out of the day to day basics such as toiletries or just popping in each day for a chat.
Our lovely dining room serves up a wide range of delicious meals. We can cater for any special dietary needs you may have.
We are able to offer care and support for individuals with more complex medical needs too and we have an excellent relationship with a local GP surgery. Our GP visits every week and can be called out when needed. Local pharmacies deliver medication to the doorstep and for those who need end of life care; we work with Marie Curie to aid us to look after you.
In short we want Rayner House to be your home, whatever your needs. We have an ‘open door’ policy for our residents’ relatives, who are free to visit whenever they wish. We organise many social events which your relatives are warmly welcomed to share with you, and for special occasions, such as birthdays, you can even use our facilities to host a party for your family.
Our range of activities and entertainment is very varied and we tailor that provision to our current residents’ tastes, needs and hobbies. We are very much geared towards caring for all our residents as individuals. We really want to make sure ‘your individual care needs’ are met. We have regular meetings with both residents and their relatives and we really want to hear your honest feedback.
Joint entertainment is enjoyed by Rayner House, Yew Trees and Shepherdson Court on several occasions during the year and this helps promote the family spirit of the whole complex. Rayner House is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission." Show less
