A wide range of recreational entertainment is on offer and residents can choose to take part in a varied programme of therapeutic sessions and events led by our dedicated activities coordinator. There are excursions to local places of interest and entertainers regularly perform at the home. For the comfort and convenience of our Holy Cross residents there is a library, small shop and hairdressing salon for weekly appointments, all on-site. Free Wi-Fi and supported Skype sessions are also available to our residents.Visiting priests attend the home daily to celebrate Mass in our beautiful and spacious St Jeanne Jugan chapel, a special feature of Holy Cross that is integral to the home and is particularly valued by our residents.
Holy Cross is set in attractive, landscaped grounds, which have won several Sunderland in Bloom accolades and which extend across the entire front of the building.
