"Tuson House is an Independent Living scheme with a total of 53 one and two bed self-contained flats and bungalows, each with their own lounge, bathroom and separate kitchen.

Situated on an established residential estate on the outskirts of Penwortham, the area offers a good range of amenities including a small supermarket, Post Office, butcher, library, doctors and independent shops. Penwortham enjoys quiet surroundings yet is located close to Preston city centre, with its wide variety of shops, restaurants and excellent transport links. The nearby Penwortham Golf Club is a great attraction for any golf fans.

The scheme benefits from a scheme manager service to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and to provide a link with doctors, families, friends and the support services. The scheme is also monitored by the Control Centre and should an emergency arise they can be contacted by pulling the red intercom cord or pressing a pendant. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

There are a wide range of optional social activities at the scheme ranging from bingo and coffee mornings to darts and cabaret evenings. Residents have use of the communal computer with internet access and can take advantage of regular visits from the hairdresser and holistic therapist." Show less
