Ideal Home is a tastefully converted Manor House and was established as a Care Home in 1983. The home is registered for 50 beds it has two sections namely The Main House which provides personal care for younger adults over 30 years. The purpose built extension provides personal care for EMI over 65 years. There are 5 bathrooms and 9 toilets in addition to en-suite rooms. Television, video recorders, DVD and stereo players are provided in the lounges.
Ideal Home also specialises in care of Alzheimer's and Schizophrenia sufferers.
The home is situated in the village of Gains Park in the suburbs of the historic town of Shrewsbury. It is within walking distance of a doctor’s surgery, shops and public houses. There is a regular bus service to Shrewsbury Town Centre with a bus top within 50m of the home. Ideal Home has attractive, well tended enclosed gardens with plenty of seating areas for residents and visitors use.
Open visiting times, individual care plans and flexible working practice where residents are encouraged to take an active part in running their home. A happy, relaxed and informal atmosphere exists within Ideal Home. There are no restrictions other than normal consideration for one another.
