Show more "At Weaver Vale Housing Trust we recognise that as you get older your housing needs can change. You may become worried about the upkeep of a large home, or have concerns about your safety you may feel isolated and be looking for a sense of community. If this applies to you and you're aged 55 or over then our Independent Living scheme, Moretons Meade may be just what you're looking for.

This scheme has a secure door entry system and all of our residents benefit from their own 24 hour personal emergency alarm link so in the event of a trip or fall, you can relax knowing that help is available at the press of a pendant. Residents also benefit from the added support and reassurance provided by a dedicated Independent Living Assessor, who is on hand to help support residents as well as manage the building. Moretons Meade is situated within the village of Weaverham, a short distance from a variety of shops, doctors, library, and the local post office. There is also a bus stop immediately outside the building.

Comprising 24 one bed apartments spread over two storeys with shared garden, Moretons Meade has a community atmosphere and is set in well maintained gardens. Moretons Meade is not a 'care home' and every property is completely self contained with its own bathroom and kitchen. Residents do however, have a support plan which is agreed between you and the Independent Living Assessor to ensure that you can continue to receive the support you need to stay living independently."
