26 award winners and 27 highly commended schemes have been selected from the 295 schemes nominated for this year’s Awards. A record number of 3305 residents took part in this year’s UK-wide consultation.
The 26 gold, silver and bronze awards were announced at the Awards celebrations on 24 September 2013 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham with lunch and entertainment, and memorable speeches by former health minister Edwina Currie and Nick Abbey, Chief Executive, the ExtraCare Charitable Trust.
