Befriending

What does it do?

What is Befriending?

Befriending is a term used to describe a matched friendship between a client and a trained volunteer. We like to call this our Befriending Service.

It can be whatever you make it and wish it to be. We will help facilitate either a one to one session, trips out together or over the telephone. You can decide how often you meet up and what social activities you do.

Who is this service for?

Our Befriending Service is available to anyone, living in Essex, over the age of 18.

This includes people in later years, carers and those living with:

Sensory impairments
Impairment disability
Dementia
Autism
Learning Disability
Mental Health Problems
Long-term conditions
