What does it do?

Typical requests include journeys to and from hospital outpatients as well as doctor and dentist appointments.

We can send you out one of our information leaflets which gives more details together with
information on the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust's own 'Patient
Transport Service' and its eligibility criteria.

Who it is for?

This is a volunteer operated community car scheme set-up by the RCVS...the aim being to
provide access to car transport which offsets various reasons such as
age, inability to drive, location, etc.

Where it is available?

Local service (Richmondshire).

What it costs:

There is a charge of 40pence per mile, to cover the drivers car and fuel expenses, although there is no charge for waiting time. (Sep 2011)
