The distinctive form of the building enables the sheltered apartments to be arranged in two crescents, creating a south west facing private garden and east facing forecourt. The internal triangles provide a communal lobby for the sheltered apartments and a private entrance for the apartments for sale.All the sheltered partments have separate bedrooms, a living room and kitchen, with balconies large enough for wheelchair access. The apartments are spacious, with wide doors to facilitate wheelchair access, underfloor heating and fully height-adjustable kitchens that make everyday tasks like making a cup of tea much easier.
The sheltered scheme, run by MHP's support provider StepForward, has become a focal point for older people in the local community by offering use of its facilities to Stockwell's retired population.
