Show more " Ty Scott is a sheltered housing complex for the over 55's which is situated near the rural town of Tredegar in the local authority of Blaenau Gwent. It is within easy reach of local amenities and has its own car park for tenants.

The scheme consists of 36 self-contained flats each having a lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Communal facilities within the scheme include a laundry with both washing and drying facilities, guest room for tenants visitors, communal lounge and kitchen,a reading /activities room and a small gym along with a pleasant upstairs seating area overlooking the surrounding areas.

There is a scheme manager on duty 37 hours a week which are flexible from a Monday to a Friday. Within the scheme there are activities for tenants to join in with such as Bingo, Darts, coffee mornings, trips and evening entertainment which is organised by the Tenant Association and the Scheme Manager. Each month there is a tenant meeting in the communal lounge to decide on future events and a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed of them. The communal gardens are maintained by the association however tenants who wish to contribute to them are encouraged to do so. Blaenau Gwent also has a dedicated support service to assist tenants.
