Show more "Chindit Court is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Dinnington in South Yorkshire, just a few minutes’ walk from a range of shops and amenities. The court is within easy reach of nearby Rotherham, Sheffield and Worksop. Dinnington has a weekly market, Post Office, doctors surgeries, dentists, banks, churches and a wide variety of independent shops. Larger supermarkets are also within walking distance of the court.There is plenty for residents to do in the area, with many pubs, cafés and restaurants, a community centre, bowling green and theatre. Buses run regularly from a stop at the end of the street and will take you to Dinnington’s transport interchange, where there are frequent bus services to Rotherham, Sheffield and Worksop.
Chindit Court has a range of onsite activities including a large residents’ lounge and kitchen area, a guest room, hairdresser, two laundries and ample parking. The lounge has a selection of library books and talking books, which are supplied by Rotherham library and changed monthly. The court has extensive gardens with raised beds, trellises and shaded seating areas and patios. Residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they choose. The gardens are visited by a variety of wildlife.
Our Court Manager Service is an important and integral part of Housing 21’s approach to supporting our residents. It is designed to offer support and security to the court and those residents on court who need it. The service is about promoting and encouraging individuals to maintain their independence in their own home.
