Statement of purpose
(the ethos and purpose of the scheme as described to a potential resident)Seniors Housing is a positive choice for older people who want to age well and partcipate in a sociable community. Our mission is to provide a responsive and consistent housing management service for older people that ensures that all schemes provide a safe, enjoyable and well maintained living environment with effective referrals where additional support needs are identified. We'll do this by: * Providing well-designed and maintained housing enabling our residents to live comfortably as they age. * Enabling our residents to live and age well so they can keep well and remain independent, safe and happy at home. * Offering opportunities to our residents so they can comfortably maintain or improve their health, care, resilience and wellbeing. * Building vibrant, sociable and compassionate communities so our residents can sustain friendships and feel a sense of belonging and connectedness. * Creating opportunities for our residents to enjoy using their own personal skills, creativity, interests, knowledge and abilities. * Intervening in a timely and sensitive way where someone isn't thriving so they receive the help, care and/or support they need to enable them to do so. * Working collaboratively and creatively with a wide range of people and organisations to improve the lives of people and the communities in which they live. * Ensuring that the most vulnerable residents are properly supported, and particularly those at risk from harm or those who feel socially isolated and lonely. At the heart of the service is our team of site based "scheme managers" as each scheme has a named member of staff or staff who delivers our weekday service.
Assessment of outcomes
(to help assess the quality of service and the well-being of residents)The feedback from our residents is the best measure of success and we regularly meet with them so we can listen and respond to their views, and more importantly, involve them in how we can continually improve what we do as a service. Every 3 years we conduct a city wide survey of our housing residents so we can measure satisfaction in our housing and seniors housing service. We do of course measure our performance (our "key performance Indicators") as a housing service including our seniors housing service.
