Show more "Mill Spring Court in Bootle was officially opened in April 1988 by the Mayor of Sefton. This is a building that offers independent living fior the over 60's who feel they require some support from the many services provided. It is situated in a built up residential area close to all amenities such as shopping centre, G.P. & Clinic surgeries, train station, and parks. Surrounded by gardens the building itself has two storeys and has easy access lifts for tenants who need them.Mill Spring offers 52 one bedroomed self contained flats with a veranda, all consisting of an integrated kitchen with waist height oven for easy access. You will find that the majority of flats have a shower with grab rails, and an OT assessment can be arranged to assist with further helping aids if required. All flats have the extra bonus of having assistive technology fitted in each room, offering a 24 hour service, with a scheme manager one site for 36 hours a week, & carers can be organised via a referal to a social worker to suit in the individual needs.
Communal activities such as bingo, lunch and breakfast club, armchair exercises, computer clubs or you can just drop I for a cup of tea/coffee in the lounge, these are arranged to suit the tenants needs and any activities can be found on the notice board or via the Mill Spring Court' monthly newsletter.
Promoting independent living at the scheme, tenants enjoy knowing that they have their own front door and can come and go as they please. Tenants can often be found chatting in the communal laundry or onsite salon whilst getting their hair done, or even sitting in the communal lounge of a morning or mid afternoon chatting over a cup of tea."
