A computer, with internet access, deidicated for Residents/Relatives use is installed in a quiet lounge.The Abbey, a Grade 11 listed building, has a history dating back to 1154 when a Priory built on the site was used by the Gilbertine order of monks. Founded by Eustace Fitz-John, part of the original Priory still remains, the Crypt of which forms part of the foundations of the later house. The present Victorian house has lovely open aspects over the surrounding countryside yet is only minutes away from the bustling market town of Malton with its shops, library, museums etc.
We cater for 24 residents in 16 single and 4 companion rooms, which have been extensively refurbished to give a high standard of accommodation with both single and companion rooms have a sophisticated nurse-call system, en-suite facilities, radio, TV and video output points. The extensive gardens are user friendly and provide beautiful walks and pleasant sitting areas.
Appetising meals, prepared by our own experienced catering staff using only the finest fresh produce, are served either in our pretty dining room overlooking the gardens or in the provacy of your own room. Various lounges ensure companionship or privacy to suit your needs. Regular visits from Hairdressers, Chiropodist, Optician, Dentist etc cater fro your requirements.
